Our adventure takes place in the Urubamba River in what is the Sacred Valley of the Incas, on the way we can see the different and picturesque villages that are located along this valley, which forms a beautiful landscape that crosses the Andes.

Join in a trip that combines the thrill of white-water rafting with the natural beauty of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Master the rapids of the Urubamba River and know why the Incas considered this place as the center of the universe.

Itinerary

9:00 am. Pick up from the Hotel towards the Vilcanota River located in the Sacred Valley. The guide will give us the instruction talk and the necessary equipment for our descent in the inflatable boats. We will sail for 2½ hrs. approximately in rapids of class II, III and IV, depending on the section that we have chosen, thus we have:

Quiquijana / Ollantaytambo: Class II, III (Operable all year).
Chuquicahuana: class III, IV, (Operable from December to April).
After lunch, we will return to the city of Cusco, arriving at 5:00 p.m. approximately.

The rapids are cataloged as follows:

  • Difficulty I-II: Easy without risk, something exciting.
  • Difficulty III-IV: Good and Exciting, with some risk.
  • Difficulty V: Very exciting and risky, you need an additional safety boat, it can be a kayak or a boat.
  • Difficulty VI: Extreme risk, do not run.
